In 2002, Kinder Film Festival, a non-profit entity, was founded to promote cultural awareness and to foster imagination and creativity among youth in Kyoto.

 

Nowadays, YouTube, smartphones, TV, computer games, and so many of visual media allow people of any age to access information. In times like this, it is our duty to think about media literacy.

 

It is essential to understand and cherish various cultures and values which will strengthen children’s ability to live in this complicated vast world.

 

“Children” “Art & Culture” and “International exchange” are the three pillars we hope to promote by hosting film screenings and video editing workshops.
